I'm missing so much lately, that it doesn't really feel like it, Kippy, but thanks : )
Strangely, when I read this, I had those horrible (no, I shouldn't say that) teens in mind. It'll be hard to try to start fresh with them, but I'm going to give a burst of optimism and enthusiasm a go. Remind me as I walk into their class though *sigh* Oh and the reminder is so good for other areas of my life too!
Another note to consider - You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink. ;o)
I think your outlook on things is fantastic - and giving people the benefit of the doubt, along with leading by example (with optimism and enthusiasm, even if forced *laughs), is awesome and I love that about you, for sure!
I don't know any history about what you're posting, because I've been gone for 4 days, and am only touching on a few notes, but yes, approaching a daunting circumstance with enthusiasm and optimism, with firmness, can make a big difference. May there be a bright sun on your week!
Like a line from an old RATT song: "It's so easy to forget – what you give is what you get."
ReplyDeleteGood thing you give good friendship. ;)

Are you trying to say you give those teens as much crap as they give you? *gasp*
ReplyDeleteJaime, I can pretty much bet it will be forced, but I'll try *plants grin on face*
ReplyDeleteKippy, it is so, so tempting. Jurgis has suggested a wooden stake and silver bullet ; )
hahaha!! I'm with Jurgis!!

ReplyDelete;) 'Candy or Whip' approach might work, if not go for Jurgis's proposed one. And stay positive.
ReplyDeleteCattle prong always works :)
ReplyDeleteHaha sounds like you're planning to give someone something back ;)) Anyway, I love the saying I believe it applies for every aspect of life!
