Just a thought....
Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

Ten whatsits - 2

The only time I was ever seen in anything remotely resembling a bikini.
No wonder I refuse to wear them! Traumatised for life! Ouma made that 'bikini' for me.

Day One: Ten things you want to say to ten different people right now.
Day Two: Nine things about yourself.
Day Three: Eight ways to win your heart.
Day Four: Seven things that cross your mind a lot.
Day Five: Six things you wish you’d never done.
Day Six: Five people who mean a lot (in no order whatsoever).
Day Seven: Four turn offs.
Day Eight: Three turn ons.
Day Nine: Two smileys that describe your life right now.
Day Ten: One confession....

Nine things about yourself

I have a 10 page limit with surfing... I have to, or I could spend all day looking for the perfect picture, video, lesson, etc.

I'm big... pretty big... but my hands are tiny. All watches, bracelets, etc, need to be shrunked for me. No, that wasn't a typo.

I will retype a line a dozen times, each time with typos, but it will not go through with typos. It often makes me slow on instant messenger. Now watch me leave typos in this post :)

I'm not a morning's person by choice, but if I have to get up early, I get going quickly and easily.... and will even smile.

I could easily spend all day every day with my nose buried in a book.

I consider myself an realist with strong optimistic inclinations.

I'm totally mushy and sentimental and I cry easily.

I find it hard to laugh, but when I do, I laugh hard.

I often feel very removed from society down here. I'm afraid that I may have lost my ability to hold an intelligent face-to-face conversation that doesn't involve a lesson plan.

  1. I found a typo! ;)

I think you look adorable above! I'm impressed that you rise so easily in the morning. Much better than me. :) I can hardly wait 'til the time when you are no longer "removed from society" .... I feel like I'm holding my breath waiting for that day. :)

  2. Oh ... this blog doubled up ... confused me for a min! ;)

  3. I'm with you ... I hate it when I make a typo. And I'm not even typing in my own language, lol
It's a game I play every time ... see if I can write a blog or a comment without typos.

    Nose in book ... agree!

I so hope you will feel "moved into society" again soon!

  4. Kippy, WHERE??? If it's the copy/paste bit, then I don't care and 'shrunked' was deliberate =Þ The double blog was because I accidentally saved it as a private blog (I think). Then I saved it for 'everybody', but the Inbox setting was missing, so I gave up, copied it to a new blog and deleted the old.

Riete, I hate my typos in other languages too. It irks me when I catch a typo I've made in Portuguese and my Portuguese is definitely less than read-worthy lol

  5. *laughing* Tint: "an realist" ... should just be a, right? Or is that just a matter of S.A. English vs. American English? It might not be a real typo. :)

  6. Geeeeeesh!!! Kippy clearly has too much time on her hands - she needs a project ;)
It's entirely possible we were twins in a previous lieftime. I have emaressingly small hands in comparison to the rest of me. Let's see I get 6/9 here ... :D

  7. hehehehe!!
Ja nee, emaressingly is the nth degree of embaressing, 'k?!

  8. Just too many years in Publishing, sadly. I can't even go to a restaurant without proofing the menu.

  9. And it should be embarrassing right??
Geeesh my brain turns to mush after 6pm these days.

  10. *Cringe* Not a typo... a stupido. I had written 'an optimistic realist', then changed it. See? Told you there'd be typos!

  11. Pft... rereading it now, I can see a zillion changes I should make. I mean, "morning's"... C'mon... really!?

Ugh! #10 on the list of 9 things... I itch... permanently. In summer, it's constant. Gah! And after a shower, it's a thousand times worse.

'Emaressingly' is simply a foreign language. We like to mix our languages, y'know ; )

  12. I've been absorbed in a book this week. The only place I can read with peace (barely), is the bathroom, so I grab the book as soon as I'm through the door. Sort of let my proper responsibilities slide a little, so I have to watch myself.

    I don't like typos, either.

It's great to be optimistic, a realist, mushy, and sentimental!

May you be in the throes of society as you wish it very soon!

  13. Oh, and what a cute picture of you!

  14. Plus that whole "permanent toilet seat indentation" in the butt just isn't the 'in' look this season. ;)

  15. I love that! One nice -more real- option for my "I'm an idealist"
I'm just like you regarding typos and writing in general, re-writing lines all the times! But, I'm really slow when blogging, have to double check everything! And tragically, we have a former Publicist here who won't let a typo "unproofed"
I love you in the mini bikini!

  16. I fail to see the horror in the bikini. It is cute. I always have do things over a few times too, even on a comment. It is even worse on Facebook. It so needs an 'edit' button.

  17. Hah, I had a blue gingham bikini about the same age. Looked verrry similar... wonder if it was the same sewing pattern? My mom made my clothes, except Christmas dress/outfit. That was the big treat of the year.

I laughed at number 2. Me too! I actually had a fight with a guy in a shop once, trying to get a new watch strap. They were all way too big and this snooty assistant looked at me and said, "you have ABONROMALLY small wrists!" like I was a freak. Now if only my hips (butt, arms, legs..) were the same as my wrists. ;-)

  18. oh wow, serious typo ROFL

ABNORMALLY not... that thing I wrote above

  20. aaaaaaaaaaarrrrgh, you are so cute. Shame man, your grammy made you a bikini. So sweet of her. Hugs.

  21. what a lovely honest post, Tint, Thank you for sharing. Mwah !!

  22. Faye, our bathroom isn't condusive to reading... too dark and I don't like to turn the light on during the day or I'd read there too.

*laugh* Kippy... you're in top form lately!

    Faye, my thoughts precisely!

Dani, I'm usually an idealist. Life had other ideas though. Wait, spring is coming and the Publicist will indeed get busy ; )

Ien, the bikini may be cute, but.... And yes, FB needs an edit button.

Michelle, do post the photo!! Wouldn't surprise me if they used the same pattern, though my gran usually avoided patterns. She made a lot of my clothes. My beef was with Weigh Less when I joined years ago. They measure your height and measure your wrist to calculate your ideal weight. According to them, I was meant to be anorexic. They had me as an adult, post-baby, at the same weight I was in Std 7! It's hilarious how many have become so conscious of their typos in this post haha!

Tori, I like to consider myself pure lol

Marianne, my gran made most of my clothes, but the poofy bikini? I'd give that a miss.

  23. I love that picture, Tint, and we should all wear the two-pieces IF WE WANT TO! Especially with ruffles on the tushy!

    ReplyDelete
  24. My tushy is sufficiently large without adding ruffles ; ) So tell me, would you wear a two-piece?

  25. Remember-- the key is if WE are happy with ourselves and if WE want to! Recall, I once weighted nearly 200 pounds more than I do now and I did for a long time. I have kept that off almost 6 years now. You watch, I will get off another 40 pounds now post-surgery and I will be VERY happy with myself and the way I look and feel at 160 poundsish. I am short, so I will not be fancy. But I will be healthy and feel good and feel good about how I look, too! So who knows!? I just might, with a tan!

  27. Wow Marty! I take my hat off to you. Weight is a constant challenge for me. I'm just one of those people who will have to watch her weight until the day I'm weightless. It will take a lot to get me into a two piece... but then, I have huge image issues quite aside from my size and the desire to spare the eyes of others ; )

    ReplyDelete
  28. I love you and you're pretty! :oD *HUGS

  29. I will always have issues too, Tint, yet at 53 if I am not careful it will suck away some fun and joy, ruin my self-esteem. I am going to be happy with myself the best I can and love it, I have enough other things to beat myself up over.
