its me
but i'm not here
i'm a figment of your imagination
if you want
you will find me
out where the eleflowers grow
but then
i may not be there
i may just be jumping in moon puddles
over there
frozen in time
by the icy fingers of the sun

This poem was first posted on Yahoo 360º, quite a while before the move to Multiply. At the time, I was actually looking for a way to tell my friends that I was feeling low. Strangely, writing the poem pulled me out of that. Ah the power of words... at least, words that make no sense whatsoever : )
They make sense to me....especially today.
ReplyDeletehow nice it is to know a tool like that!
ReplyDeleteThey do make sense ... in some strange way. I love them!
ReplyDeletei definitely remember that magnificent picture and vaguely remember the poem. Wonderful tint!! Oh to be wandering in flowering fields or jumping in (warm) moon puddles. :) i've been in a place where i wanted to dissapear (for a loooooong time) and have no one find me. I'm glad that putting this down helped you to feel better. Thanks for reposting!

ReplyDeleteHad to read it again after your explaination... it fits.
I thought it made sense...maybe that's because I live in Down? But I could feel it. Save one of those puddles for me please.
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteI love this poem... somehow really identify with it.
