Reaching out

I love my Skype. To me, it's an essential tool for contact with loved ones and for work. Having said that, I tend to get bombarded with contact requests from places like India and various locations in the middle east, BUT...

Today, I got a simple message from a stranger. No add request, just the message. How refreshing!

To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides, because it's love that makes the impossible possible, nice meeting you.

Some people are just so nice : )

  5. That is cool! I didn't know you could send messages unless you were contacts. Maybe I'll try making someone's day! First, I'll hit Kippy's Project Pos. page for quotes!

  7. Kippy, yes! I got thrills when I read it. It definitely put a smile on my face.

I liked it too, Amalie... and the fact that it proved there are good folk out there.

    Gotcha Dani : )

Jules, absolutely. I find them often. I have a blog in mind on that subject... perhaps for tomorrow. Remind me lol

Sandy, great idea. I had something like that in mind too. Perhaps we can all do it in little ways. With Skype, you do a search within a certain demographic, find a person, then right click and send a message. It depends on the user's settings. If they accept stranger's messages, it will go through. Some have privacy settings to block it though. It's a chance you take.

    Debbie, it is, isn't it? : )

    Absolutely, Jaime!

I love encouraging quotes. One of my favourites is this one, which I have on my Skype for the benefit of my students who don't understand it anyway ; )
