Just a thought....

Weeeeeeeeee!!

I changed my address details on ebay this morning, so that I could buy and ship a couple of adapter plugs (ah... small things) and got a message from ebay: "Congratulations on your move to the UK!" Got all jumpity, skippity excited *happy grins*

I shed a few tears when I said goodbye to the kidlets this week. Little Zara has started walking. Her mom was so excited to show me. When she has her walking harness on, she holds the 'leash' out in front of her (alone) and walks. She won't walk without it. She just needs the feeling of the harness around her chest to feel secure enough to take those steps. I think she's much like many of us... we need to *feel* as though we're being helped/supported to progress, even if the help or support is an illusion. I was so happy for them though. This child is special and any progress is a miracle. When I arrive, she demands her 'lesson'. Too cute.

Right now, I have two cases packed and sooo much more to organise. The weather has been agonisingly hot with temps sitting around 35ºC. Today, the sky pulled over. 3pm was dark outside with a deep purple sky. Apparently we're heading into a wet week. I'm so glad I'm not teaching!

*yawns* Think a cup of coffee and some biscuits are a good idea....

  2. Bert, it's one of the views. That hedge in the foreground runs down the side of the cottage... if I have my perspectives correct here.

  6. Katey, those hills take me straight back home. It's just 'normal' enough for me. Hope to have some phishfood soon, but it appears there isn't a chippie near to the station. I don't want a fancy place... just a regular chippie. We just had our last Sunday dinner in Brazil!!!

Riete, no idea how you missed it lol Didn't you hear me yelling across the rooftops? Yes, we're closer. Perhaps a visit isn't that unrealistic now :)

Kat, no idea how you missed it - see my comment to Riete lol We're flying next Sunday afternoon.

  9. Get used to that, you'll be getting a lot more of it where you're going!!! LOL. We've actually had a bit of an 'Indian Summer' here the last few days with higher temps than normal for this time of year.

Looking forward to seeing you Monday!

    ......

WELL?! Did it?! I mean I knew it was close already, but it's friggin MONDAY!!! And Monday sounds so much closer than "6 days"! I'm in like, a pre-holiday funk. Work is dragging by. I can't concentrate. I'm glad I don't have a desk job because otherwise it'd just be the PITS! Luckily my job has me on my feet and running around... Can you imagine this much excitement with a *desk job*?! I'd be dying.
    *SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE*

  16. Amalie, there might always be something to miss, but the things we're reunited with when we get here FAR outweigh the things we might eventually miss, trust me - I've been through it already =D

  18. Hmmmmmmm timing is an issue since no one else is bothering *koff!!* to move to the UK! Maybe posts on our own pages and definitely a pic of your Mom and Dad squeezing the bejeezuz out of you!! :P Like at the beginning of the day because they will be seriously frazzled by the time you get there! .... I don't think your Mom realizes this is going to be like a Kippy and Jermy's wedding day where we need an ongoing blogroll .......

  22. The scenery in your picture is so beautiful. What a majestic , peaceful place. Lot's of work involved moving and emotions in letting go of one thing to embrace the next . It appears the move is a very positive one though! So happy for you!
